Teacher’s Lab: Vinyasa Teacher’s Toolkit
A weekend immersion to refine your skills of observation, bring more intention to your cueing, and elevate your facilitation of flow.
As Vinyasa teachers, we are guides of rhythm, breath, and movement—navigating the collective energy of a room while attuning to the individual needs of each student. This immersive weekend is designed to refresh your teaching, deepen your observation skills, and hone the subtle art of cueing and class facilitation.
Whether you’re looking to reignite your creativity, find more precision in your language, or support safer and more fluid experiences for your students, this training will offer practical tools and embodied insights to support your growth. You’ll walk away with a manual of techniques, fresh approaches to class facilitation, and renewed inspiration for your teaching path.
Drawing from Prana Vinyasa Yoga and Devon’s extensive studies with Shiva Rea, this workshop focuses on the subtle yet powerful elements that create memorable, transformative Vinyasa classes. You’ll learn how to facilitate flow not just in your students’ bodies—but in your own teaching state.
What You’ll Explore:
• Refine your observation skills—learn to see beyond the surface and recognize patterns of breath, movement, and energy in the room.
• Practice economy of language—say more with less, choosing words that land clearly and effectively in the flow of practice.
• Expand your cueing vocabulary with imagery, metaphor, and progressive instruction that supports safety, embodiment, and ease.
• Explore techniques for facilitating flow in your students—sequencing, pacing, and breath integration that encourage fluid, sustainable movement.
• Learn to assess the five movements of prana (Vayus) in your students and guide them toward energetic balance.
• Discuss the art of setting the class tone—including voice modulation, music, lighting, and pacing—to create a cohesive energetic container.
• Integrate breath-centered movement techniques that support down-regulation, resilience, and adaptability within the flow.
• Explore sequencing strategies for smoother transitions, balancing creative expression with structural integrity.
• Cultivate your inner teacher’s flow state—holding space with presence, confidence, and adaptability.
This lab is a space to experiment, reflect, and refine. You’ll leave with new tools for observation, language, and class facilitation—along with a deeper connection to your unique voice as a teacher.
