Join Devon, Janel, and Sarah, our Prana Vinyasa Community teachers, to celebrate the Winter Solstice with a practice of devotion in motion - 108 rounds of Prana Flow Pranams. Namaskar is bowing to the life-force, an offering to the Source, honoring whatever role the Divine plays in your life and devotional practice. We will gather to practice a ritual ‘mala’ of 108 cycles of lunar practice, with a focus on depth and sustainability through each cycle.

Prana Flow Pranams are a movement series born out of the flow of devotional surrender customary at temples all over the world.  Pranam practice represents the power of renewal that is inherent in life, a humble strength that we can give to the earth while receiving from a deeper ground of energy that is greater than one’s individual self. This embodied ritual movement instinctively transforms us, releasing tensions and awakening us.

Illumination: Nourishing Practices for the Winter Solstice

Saturday, December 21st at 2:30pm

Investment: 21$ for the practice

Join us for an intentional recalibration to support the transition from the depth of winter towards longer days that arrives with the Winter Solstice.

We will enjoy the heart-awakening gift of cacao, followed by a sound-based Ayurvedic breath work practice with Devon. Sarah will lead a sensory Yoga Nidra accompanied by live singing bowls and reiki by Katie Jaffe.

Following Nidra, Janel Possiel will lead us in a Despacho ceremony: a traditional Andean gratitude ceremony that honors the sacred reciprocity we experience every moment of our lives. It is a beautiful offering of energy back to Pachamama (mother earth) through a symbolic creation of a mandala via an arrangement of items, plants, herbs, and prayers. Despacho translates to “dispatching a message or care package” and it is an act of love that reminds us of and celebrates the interconnectedness of all life.

Come join us in this collective wisdom offering to nurture and reconnect us to a feeling of inner illumination -- through presence, practice, and community.
